There’s something magical about Googling for entertainment. Today, we uncovered the family website for Real Housewives of New York City star/Cobble Hillbilly Alex McCord. It features photos of Alex, hubby Simon and their kids Francois and Johan. We found Simon’s page to be deliciously informative and laced with clues on his “unique” accent:

I was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to an Australian mother, Elaine (neé Reeve) and Dutch father; Francois van Kempen, and lived in various cities and towns in New South Wales and Queensland while growing up.

At 16, I developed a fervent interest in politics and became very active in Australian politics and got heavily involved at both State & Federal levels. While continuing study after graduating high school I started working part time at the then newest and largest 5 star hotel in Brisbane and just fell in love with the hospitality industry. After almost two years working in hotels in Australia I left to spend what I thought would be 12 months in London and thirteen years later I was still there. Although I did spend a year living in Paris; and learning French in between jaunts in London.

Disturbing or fascinating?: Nude photos allegedly of Real Housewives of New York City star/Cobble Hillbilly Alex McCord have surfaced on the web. If they turn out to be real, this could be the biggest scandal to hit the nabe since one of our readers got busted for an open container on St. Patrick’s Day. [TAR via Gawker]

Just when we thought the naked photo story arc involving Cobble Hillbilly/Real Housewives of New York City star Alex McCord was over, it heats up again. Now comes word that In Touch Magazine will run the odd masked photos unveiled on line by TAR. But wait…there’s more… Gawker sheds light on news that Ms. McCord tried out to be in PLAYBOY. (Not to mention a collection of her appearance in these whacky nudie pix: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 NSFW)

What’s a girl to do? Well, in the 21st Century where everyone wants to be a star and internet gurus claim everyone should be “transparent”, Alex is BLOGGING about Wahinagate:

Bravo.tv: Alex’s Blog: Having been back in the modeling world at the time, shooting photos is a very normal thing to do, and I wanted to celebrate getting back into shape and also document the changes in my body. I wanted to make sure I had photos of the slightly loose belly, the linea nigra, the lush hair and of course the extra up on top. I did several photo shoots with photographers I knew through modeling, and am pleased with all of them. I particularly like the photos done with Jim DeMaria, a great photographer who is also a dad. We’d done several fashion shoots together, he understood this idea and ran with it to create a great set of photos.

The NY Post reports that mayhem broke out at the taping of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City reunion. The show airs on April 22.:

NY Post: Page Six: THE women on “The Real Housewives of New York City” nearly clawed each other’s eyes out behind the scenes on the recently taped reunion special airing next week. Bravo host Andy Cohen interviewed the five women about the show’s first season. All was fine until an hour in, when bitter wife Ramona Singer stormed off the stage and refused to return. “She didn’t like Andy asking her about not inviting Jill Zarin to a dinner party,” said one insider. Single housewife Bethenny Frankel stuck up for Singer on camera, saying they shouldn’t bash her if she’s not there to defend herself. “Ramona heard Bethenny say her name and started screaming from the side of the stage, ‘Don’t you speak for me,’ and that’s when it got heated,” said our source. “Bethenny confronted her off camera, saying ‘Who do you think you are, Madonna?’ – because Ramona had been demanding outrageous things from the hair and makeup people.” Fights also broke out between Zarin and Singer and Alex McCord and Singer. “Ramona is the most hated person in New York right now,” said our spy. A show rep had no comment.

Simon Van Kempen is trying to buy back the nudie pics of his Real Housewife of New York City Alex McCord. According to Jezebel, the Cobble Hillbillies have reached out to photog Mike Boyd several times:

Jezebel: Boyd explains that he is allowed to use the photos for promotion for his own site, but not if he uses McCord’s name. And although he removed them from his site after someone found them, identified McCord and posted them elsewhere, McCord and her husband will not leave him alone. Says Boyd:

Simon emailed me again and stated that they may be interested in buying the rights to the photos from me. They keep telling me this and then say that if I post the photos anywhere then they won’t want them. Then I never hear back from them so I don’t really think they’re interested in buying them, I think they just want to fool me into not using them. I think they’re trying the carrot now versus the stick.

We just stumbled across this “art movie” of Cobble Hillbilly/Real Housewife of New York star Alex McCord. It’s called Alphabet Garden and looks like a Dresden Dolls video on cough syrup. The YouTube description makes it even more fantastic:

“Alphabet Garden” is divided into eight segments…letters A through H. Each “letter” is culled together from footage improvised by the actors…in this sequence, Sean Guinan, Alex McCord (“The Real Housewives of New York City”) and Andy Gorecki, upon the Merchandise Mart el platform in Chicago. These improvised sequences were photographed by Joshua Eckhardt. The musical number at the climax of this segment was written by Sean Guinan and Peter Wirengard.

In other Housewives news the show producers are looking for “additional Manhattan women to join the cast” [Gawker]. Also, check out footage of the Countess doing her Hamptons public access TV show [Celebotomy].

Seems like the karma train is pulling into McVanCordKempen station this week. Remember when McCord said that P.S. 29 (is that the public school in question here?) was their like 15th choice of school for lil Francois? Page Six (thanks KD for the tip) has a juicy tidbit about the reality star’s attempt at contrition:

NY Post: Page Six: Meanwhile, Alex McCord, the social-climbing wife of hotel manager Simon, got into hot water with the parents of her son Francois‘ public school in Brooklyn – and sent them all an apology letter for insensitive remarks she made on the show.

McCord was seen on air complaining that Francois didn’t get into their 12th or even 13th choice of school, offending parents of the Cobble Hill school where he eventually ended up. “It’s a great school” with “a strong PTA,” said one parent.

McCord told us, “We did send out a clarification letter – not an apology. We noticed that parents were jumping on a rumor mill and not coming to us for clarification, so we just wrote down a short note saying, ‘Hey this is what’s going on.’ The response was 100 percent positive.”

So, P.S. 29 parents — what did the letter say?

A couple of weeks ago, one of the Joshes or “Josh and Josh” seemed to be having a day a being “stalked” by Cobble Hillbilly/Reality TV star Alex McCord and her hubby Simon Van Kempen:

Josh and Josh: This morning as I stood on the subway platform, waiting for the morning train that would get me to work, I looked up from my book and saw Alex McCord, one of the women from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City. Loved that she kept her ginormous black sunglasses on even though we were underground and then, um, on the subway, too. (Seriously?)

Then, on the way home, as I passed hundreds of girls on 42nd Street outside Bryant Park, penned in behind NYPD barricades and camped out on the sidewalk overnight in line to see the Jonas Brothers perform on Good Morning America tomorrow morning (there are those pesky Disney brothers again), I walked passed Alex’s husband, Simon, also wearing big sunglasses. (A few months ago I saw Simon and his kids on the street near my apartment. Apparently they live a few blocks away.)

Two in one day, though, but in different boroughs, and separately? What are the odds of that? If we start playing Real Housewives of New York City bingo I’m gonna have a winning playing card soon.

The New York Post reports that Cobble Hillbilly/Real Housewives of New York City star Alex McCord and husband Simon van Kempen will be writing a book on parenting.  If that doesn’t sound annoying enough here’s what she tells the Post: “It’s not about how to discipline. It’s about things like how to get a passport for an infant when you don’t have a birth certifi cate yet…”It’s gonna be fun.”

Cobble Hillbilly Alex McCord and the other Real Housewives of New York City will return to Bravo with a new season on February 17. As previously reported, they’ll be joined by new cast member Kelly Bensimon.

According to the show’s official website, here’s  the kinda hijinx we can expect from the McCordVanKempens:

After an event-filled and somewhat drama-filled excursion to the Hamptons for the summer, as well as their annual trip to St. Bart’s, the van Kempens return to the city and their active social life as one of the recognizable faces on the New York City scene. With both their boys in school, Alex and Simon begin a major home renovation project; stage two of what will help them complete their dream Brooklyn home.

Looks like some people on a parenting website are wondering what qualifies Real Housewife Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen to write a parenting book. “Just because your children act bad doesn’t mean your ideas about parenting are bad,” is the answer this particular parent got. I’d like to think there’s some concrete proof behind published methods.

BTW… saw Simon van Kempen (dressed in a full 3-piece suit, of course) checking out some real estate listings in a window on Smith Street a couple of weeks ago. Are they leaving the nabe?  Or was he just checking out the competition?

Looks like Real Housewife Alex McCord and her husband Simon van Kempen are making the most of the upcoming premiere of The Real Housewives of New York’s second season. According to Hamptons.com, a Manhattan restaurant played host to the Cobble Hill couple last night, along with “a host of media who tried to get the scoop.”

The couple dished on their upcoming parenting book. “Johan, our youngest son appears more in season two because he’s a bigger boy. But with Francois, we have a star in the making,” said Van Kempen to a Peoplemagazine reporter at the event.

Although the second season premieres in just a few weeks, media who wanted the inside scoop on the reality antics and potential cat-fights among the housewives were left out in the cold as Alex and Simon had to remain mum on the exciting details.

Someone’s flickr account posted some photos from the season finale taping of this season of the Real Housewives, which apparently took place at a fundraising gala for the arthritis community. Is it me, or does Simon van Kempen’s outfit scream “appropriate?” I wonder who his huggy buddy is…

It’s here!  The second season of Real Housewives of New York City starring Cobble Hillbilly Alex McCord kicks off tonight on Bravo TV.   While some naysayers (we’re looking at you EW’s Ken Tucker) aren’t thrilled about the show’s return, we can at least look forward to the nabe getting some basic-cable-network-television time… right?
